Vandapower has moved 12 employees from its former base in Waterlooville to Spring Park Unit 4, a high-quality industrial project being built by developer Kingsbridge Estates in the New Lane Industrial Estate.

The team – established as Torberry Connectors in 1971 and acquired by Vandapower NV in November 2021 – specializes in batteries, components and cables for a variety of applications including electric mobility products, forklifts , telecommunications and electric vehicle charging.

Dave Edwards, UK Operations Manager, said: “Our success and year-on-year growth meant we had simply outgrown our existing premises. We were looking for new, quality housing without displacing our teams too much, and Spring Business Park was the perfect choice.

The completion of Spring Business Park on the site of the former Buttericks factory in November last year brought 12 new commercial leasehold units to market.

It comes as Kingsbridge Estates continues to offer units to occupants on a lease basis, with Vail Williams and CBRE appointed as joint agents for the site.

Rachel Lacklison, Asset Manager, Kingsbridge Estates, said: “We are delighted to welcome Vandapower to Spring Business Park and delighted that the caliber of our new occupant reflects the quality of this brand new, modern, high quality development. We wish the team much success in their new home.

Oliver Sherriff, Managing Partner of commercial real estate services firm CBRE, added, “Vandapower and Spring Business Park complement each other perfectly and we were delighted to play our part in bringing the two together.

“Kingsbridge Estates has identified and delivered what occupiers are asking for, and we are delighted to secure a new lease so soon after the completion of this superb development.”

Spring Business Park is made up of two terraces of units ranging from 4,007 square feet to 32,000 square feet available.
