Before Pixel fans get excited about the Notepad, Google has yet to introduce the Pixel 6a, the annual mid-range Pixel that will retain the new design sensibilities of the Pixel 6 series with a few corners cut here and there. Google Pixel 6a render
The Pixel 6a is rumored to use Sony’s 12.2-megapixel IMX363 sensor for the main camera and a 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 sensor for the ultra-wide-angle camera. An 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 sensor should be used behind the front-facing hole-punch lens used for the selfie and video chat camera. The phone is said to come with 6GB of memory (half of the 12GB used in the Pixel 6 lineup), 128GB of storage and a 4,800mAh capacity battery that will charge at speeds as fast as 30W.
We could see the Pixel 6a unveiled at the Google I/O Developer Conference which should take place in May. The rumored Pixel Watch is also set to be introduced around the same time. With the entry-level iPhone SE 3 priced at $429 (albeit with just 64GB of storage), Google might want to keep the Pixel 6a at the same price.
